How Does it Work?
Before the Event
Familiarize yourself with Asha Sanctuary's website and guidelines.
Select an appropriate venue for your viewing booth at your college. For example, a room separated from the college crowds would not be an effective way to engage students. However, a viewing booth placed near a cafeteria during lunch hour would be a very effective way to involve the most people in a short amount of time.
Decide on the video you’ll be showing. For more ideas, please visit VegVids.com.
Select the vegan literature. For suggestions, check out our educational literature page.
If you are sampling food in addition to showing the video, decide on the menu. View our suggested food and recipes.
Complete and submit an application for funding approximately two weeks before the event. We will email you back with our determination on approval and the level of funding we can provide.
During the Event
Prominently display the Asha Sanctuary Pay Per View sign. We will provide once your event has been approved.
If serving food, place the Asha Sanctuary required sign on the food table. We will provide once your event has been approved.
If serving food, place the Common Food Allergens sign (PDF) on the food table. We will provide once your event has been approved.
If applicable, display the product cartons/packages next to the food samples.
Provide free vegan educational literature at your table/booth. Everyone who receives $1 or a vegan food sample should take the literature offered. For viewers, it's a good idea to place the $1 sticking out inside the Asha Sanctuary brochure before it is handed to the viewer.
Ensure viewers provide their first and last name as well as email address. A copy of the list will need to be submitted to Asha Sanctuary. Keep track of the $1's given on this list and total at the end of the event.
Take lots of photos! At a minimum, take photos of the COMPLETE table display including the Pay Per View viewing booths, literature, required signs, and food samples (if applicable). View examples of event photos.
Maintain a clean table and use gloves to serve food.
