Buffalo Vegetarian Society initiative challenges area restaurants. November marked the hopeful start of the new initiative supported by the Buffalo Vegetarian Society, a volunteer based vegan outreach program sponsored by ASHA Sanctuary, in partnership with Yelp, an online guide to urban culture. The animal sanctuary is located in Newfane and works to educate the community on animal maltreatment in support of plant-based lifestyles.

08/25/13 The Pollination Project grants $1,000 to Asha's Country Jamboree
Tracy is a community organizer, founder of the Buffalo Vegetarian Society of Buffalo, NY and also founder of Asha Sanctuary, a rescue sanctuary for abused farm animals. Asha Sanctuary will be hosting the first Country Jamboree that includes expert vegan speakers, a vegan dinner, silent auction and live performances from country musicians.
