Albert was only a day old when we found him cold and shivering. He could barely walk and was crying for his mother. Sadly, his umbilical cord was still hanging from his fragile body, tragic evidence he was taken from his mother at birth. Asha Sanctuary rescued little Albert and got him to safety and warmth. Although we were told only 1 in 2 calves survive, our founder nursed him around the clock to give him every chance possible for survival. Today, Albert is around 3 months old and doing much better. We are very guarded with him though as it is not known if he ever consumed his mother's vital, immune building colostrum. Albert is a smart, inquisitive and very loving. He loves to play with his new ball. Albert would benefit greatly from an adoptive parent who wishes to help with his critical recovery.
