Dawn came to our sanctuary (from another rescue group) with her mother, Lindsay (shown in back). The two are inseparable and share a very close bond. Had Dawn not been taken in by this rescue group and our sanctuary, she would have risked being separated from her daughter, sent over the border into Canada and slaughtered for 'donkey meat.' This very unnecessary 'food' is considered a 'delicacy' in some countries. Dawn is very curious and enjoys getting to know new visitors very much. She especially loves her head and nose scratched. Dawn's favorite snacks are apples, carrots and alfalfa. She is in need of very loving adoptive parents who wish to provide her a safe shelter with her daughter, food and critical medical care.
