Please join us for an Introduction to Veganic Gardening workshop conducted by Amie Hamlin, executive director of Coalition for Healthy School Food.
Amie Hamlin is Executive Director of Coalition for Healthy School Food and owner of Growing Peace Farm, a new veganic farm.
Amie will briefly share with us how she is helping to change how schools feed kids, and how she is educating whole school communities.
She will then talk about veganic farming. What is it? Why do it? Why does it matter even if you aren’t a gardener or farmer? How do you do it? How do we advocate for veganically grown food?*
*The presentation is a basic theoretical framework, and Amie wants to be sure attendees know that she is just learning how to grow food and her talk is NOT from the perspective of an experienced farmer.
